HOOP SIZE

INNER DIAMETER

The diameter refers to the measurement between the inner edges of a hoop or ring, excluding the jewelry's thickness.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HOOP SIZE

  1. Prepare a strip of paper and a marker pen. Holding the paper up to your ear, mark the measurement from the location of the piercing hole to the edge of your ear with a pen.

  2. Measure the marked portion of the paper against a ruler by counting how many millimeters there are from the edge of the paper and where the line is marked.

  3. Choose your hoop with the INSIDE-MEASUREMENT and now you know your hoop size.

TIPS:
If you want an accurate measurement, make sure to line up a strip of paper in a straight, horizontal line.
If you would prefer to have a loose-fitting, measure your earring placement at an desired angle.  Alternatively, you can also just add 1mm or 2mm to the size you got using the straight measuring method.

ARE THERE OTHER WAYS TO MEASURE A HOOP SIZE?

If you don’t want to take the measurement at home, then we recommend to visit local pierce shopy and ask your piercer for help.  Make sure you tell them the measurements of any designs attached to the jewelry so they can help you figure out if it’s going to fit well.
