Our In-House Metal Testing System (XRF)

A safer way to understand what our jewelry is made of.
In 2024, we brought the Fischer GoldScope SD 520 into our studio — a professional metal-testing machine normally found in fine jewelry laboratories and medical-grade manufacturing.
We chose this system so we could check every piece in a way that is both scientific and gentle, without damaging the jewelry.

What this means for you:

  1. Your gold pieces are the exact karat we promise
  2. Your silver pieces are truly 925 sterling, not just labeled that way
  3. Your vermeil and plated pieces have real, measurable gold thickness
  4. Your titanium jewelry is checked for purity and cleanliness
  5. Every piece is screened for unwanted metals such as nickel, lead, and cadmium — not just claimed, but proven

Why this machine matters:

The Fischer GoldScope SD 520 is not a consumer-level tester. It’s a laboratory-grade XRF system trusted in fine jewelry manufacturing, metallurgy, and even medical-grade material analysis.

It measures the true structure of each piece — from the base alloy to the outer coating — with a level of accuracy that smaller or portable devices simply can’t match. We chose this system because we wanted results we could rely on, every single time. When we say a piece is 14K gold, 925 silver, 2-micron vermeil, or nickel-free, this machine allows us to verify those details with real data, not assumptions.

We know mistakes can happen anywhere in the world, to any maker or supplier.
So instead of relying only on trust or paperwork, we added this extra step to protect our customers.
This is our way of keeping our promise: to make jewelry you can feel confident wearing every day.
We test every batch ourselves because we want to be absolutely certain that what touches your skin is safe, honest, and exactly what we say it is.

How We Stay Informed About Safe Body Jewelry:

We take inspiration from the safety principles recognized in the professional piercing community, including the guidance shared by the Association of Professional Piercers (APP).

These resources help us stay aware of what truly matters in safe, responsible body jewelry — while we continue to build our own internal testing systems with care, clarity, and accountability.
Our approach is simple: learn consistently, choose better materials, verify everything ourselves, and keep improving for the people who wear our jewelry and the studios who trust us.

Below, you'll find testing reports provided by our partners, reflecting our commitment to quality and safety.

Additional note for studios:

If your studio requires documentation, batch notes, or representative XRF readings for your records, we can prepare them upon request.
